Yearnings

Sometimes, I listen to a hauntingly beautiful melody, and it stirs something in me too deep for words—a longing desire for life always to be so beautiful, so uplifted, so pure, so calmly joyous.

Sometimes, I experience human love so profound I’m taken to places I never realized could exist—and it’s as if I’m previewing heaven.

Sometimes, I grapple with the daily stresses and irritations of life and wish some days didn’t have to be quite such a challenge.

Sometimes, something surfaces from the center of my being, telling me that this isn’t how it was meant to be—that we all were intended for something unimaginably better.

Sometimes, I see through a glass darkly to glimpse something awesomely wonderful waiting on the other side. Here—only hints, shadows, and samples.

Sometimes, I hear echoes of Eden unfallen—and the approaching doppler waves of an impossibly perfect Eden restored.

    Sometimes…
I long for the day where there will be no more “sometimes” – only always and forevers. Where those so dear to us will always be closeby. The echoes of Eden restored touch the tenderest chords in this heart!
